Sump Pump Failure in Pittsburg, KS
The homes sump pump failed and caused water damage to the carpeting in the basement. Although it was not a huge water loss, it was still spread throughout six rooms of the basement. At the customers approval, all things were drying in place. The walls were not reading wet either. However, that wasn't the case the second day. Some of the water had begun wicking up the walls from the carpets, so the drywall started to read wet, which meant the equipment had to be reset in order to make sure it was drying as it should be. The crew also removed the wet pad from the floor and that helped speed up the drying process. Once it was completely dry, a couple of pieces of furniture was moved to help the customer and the equipment was removed from the home.
