High School Vandalism

Just weeks prior to graduation this southeast Kansas high school suffered vandalism in an unusual manor. An individual was able to crash a utility sized pick-up truck through the school entrance and navigate several hundred feet of hallways before getting stuck.

The vandal left a path of destruction that included shattered glass from multiple doorways as well as debris from the school. It also displaced a antique soda fountain that had found a new home in the high school after decades in a downtown soda fountain shop.

A small amount of water mitigation was needed from the soda fountain being hit. SERVPRO of Carthage-Joplin boarded up and secured the entrance and used foam pad and plastic to cover any potential hazards on the damaged walls and openings. School started the following morning with the kids missing NO school time.
